CEO Healthcare Roundtable - February 20-22, 2019 Omni Scottsdale (AZ) Resort at Montelucia1/30/2019 AuthorMarty Hauser, Partner, CEO Advisory Network and Director and Facilitator of the CEO Healthcare Roundtable. He is currently the V.P. of Business Development at ExactCare Pharmacy in Akron, OH. Roundtable Theme: "The Future is Now...Will We Thrive or Barely Survive"?The phrase the “The future is now” is often attributed to former Washington Redskins Football coach, George Allen, who used it to motivate players and Redskins fans in the early 1970’s. The reality is that the phrase was first used in the title of a 1955 short film entitled “The Future is Now”. The movie featured an inside look at a high-profile government research lab to showcase future products such as small computers, computerized assembly lines, nuclear and solar powered energy sources, video telephones, instant movies, microwaved foods, etc. The film created a bit of a stir as most people had previously believed that these types of things were pure science fiction or wouldn’t be possible for at least 100 years, if at all.
