Healthcare systems with legacy care processes, delivery platforms, and cost structures are at risk in this new post-pandemic future. A historic parallel could be drawn to the years-ago introduction of chip technology in the computer world, and the resulting free-fall of IBM and other mainframe computer businesses.  Healthcare systems today are in many respects in a similar position. ​
